Community consensus. This entry is not backed by factory documentation — treat its values and steps as a starting point, not as if they came from the factory manual.

The tee that splits coolant off to the rear heater, on the trucks that have one. It corrodes where the metal meets the hose and then weeps, and because it sits under the body rather than in the engine bay the loss shows up as a slowly falling reservoir and a smell rather than as a puddle you can see from the driver's seat. The truck takes the quantity shown above, and the sensible order is both plus the hoses, since the hose clamps are what you disturb getting at them. The catalogue also lists an interchange number for this part; it has no page here yet, so ask the counter to cross-reference rather than assuming this is the only number that will come up. The number, the fitment and the count come from the Montero specialist's own catalogue page, cited below — a parts catalogue is good evidence for what a part number is and what it fits, and it is not factory literature, so read every figure on this page as the catalogue's claim rather than as a service-manual specification.
