The left front link between the anti-roll bar and the suspension. Left and right are different part numbers on this truck, so this page covers one side only and the right link has its own page — order by side. Worn links are the usual source of a knock over speed bumps and washboard, and they are one of the cheapest ways to make a Gen 3 feel tight again. Replace them in pairs even though they are sold singly: an old link on one side and a new one on the other gives you the noise back on the next bad road. The catalogue lists further OEM interchange numbers alongside this one; none of them has a page here yet, so let the parts counter cross-reference rather than insisting on a single number. This is suspension work; if the bar is under load or you cannot support the truck safely, take it to a qualified mechanic. The number, the fitment and the count come from the Montero specialist's own catalogue page, cited below — a parts catalogue is good evidence for what a part number is and what it fits, and it is not factory literature, so read every figure on this page as the catalogue's claim rather than as a service-manual specification.

Sankei 555SL7840LWorks, reported to wear out soonerSankei 555 is a Japanese steering and suspension maker the seller rates highly, but the seller places it explicitly second to Genuine Mitsubishi on strength and recommends it for trucks that live on asphalt and light trails or for a budget build — which is why it is filed here as lower-grade rather than as an equivalent. The same page warns that 555 parts carry no rust-proof coating and will surface-rust quickly, so plan on coating them before they go on. In this climate that warning is not cosmetic.
