The gasket under each rocker cover. One part number covers both banks, and the truck takes the quantity shown above — order the pair even if only one side is weeping, because the second one is the same age and the covers are already off for a spark plug change. The specialist who sells it is blunt about the aftermarket versions: most are not sized correctly and rarely seal. Two warnings worth carrying to the bench: the cover bolts take a very light torque, so look the figure up in the service manual and use a torque wrench, because overtightening bows the cover and no gasket will seal it afterwards; and the spark plug tube seals live under the same cover and are a separate part. The number, the fitment and the count come from the Montero specialist's own catalogue page, cited below — a parts catalogue is good evidence for what a part number is and what it fits, and it is not factory literature, so read every figure on this page as the catalogue's claim rather than as a service-manual specification.
