The switch that reads low range with the centre differential locked. The transfer case on the Super Select II trucks carries one of these switches for each shift position, and each position has its own part number — order by position, not by the words "transfer case switch", or you will fit a switch that reads the wrong shift. Each switch seals with its own crush washer, which is a separate part and is single-use. A failed switch is what puts the blinking four-wheel-drive light on the dash; before you buy one, pull the transfer-case trouble code and confirm which switch it names, because the switches all look identical and guessing which one failed is expensive. The number, the fitment and the count come from the Montero specialist's own catalogue page, cited below — a parts catalogue is good evidence for what a part number is and what it fits, and it is not factory literature, so read every figure on this page as the catalogue's claim rather than as a service-manual specification.
