The gasket between the surge tank and the lower intake manifold on the larger petrol V6 — the one that always has to come off when the variable-intake butterflies are rebuilt, deleted or the tank is swapped. Read the catalogue page before you order: the surge tank job needs three different gaskets, this one plus a left and a right plenum gasket, each with its own Mitsubishi number, and the other two do not have pages here yet. Ordering one and discovering the other two at the bench with an open intake is the failure mode this paragraph exists to prevent. No quantity per vehicle is recorded here because the catalogue does not state one for this position. The number, the fitment and the count come from the Montero specialist's own catalogue page, cited below — a parts catalogue is good evidence for what a part number is and what it fits, and it is not factory literature, so read every figure on this page as the catalogue's claim rather than as a service-manual specification.
