The grooved idler — the black one — which runs on the ribbed face of the accessory belt. It is the other of the two idlers on the front of this engine, and it is not interchangeable with the smooth one however similar the bearing feels in your hand. Both idlers are cheap next to the belt and next to the labour of getting a belt back on, so when one is being changed the other is usually worth doing with it. The number, the fitment and the count come from the Montero specialist's own catalogue page, cited below — a parts catalogue is good evidence for what a part number is and what it fits, and it is not factory literature, so read every figure on this page as the catalogue's claim rather than as a service-manual specification.
